Steel Strapping

Steel strapping is also called as metal banding straps that are used in most demanding applications such as bundling heavy duty loads and high temperature environments. FROMM stocks a wide variety of both standard duty and high tensile oscillated / ribbon wound steel strapping, which is compatible with our range of manual and pneumatic steel strapping hand tools.

Steel banding straps are designed with the specifications needed to meet the demands of a specific range of applications in a variety of industries.

Standard Packaging

  • Heat treated wooden pallet
  • Bottom water resistant oil paper sheet
  • LDPE shrink film top cover sheet (if required)

Standard Securing

  • Self adhesive tape securing strap & end tag
  • Two or three coil retaining straps at 120° intervals
  • Two sealless coil grouping straps with edge protectors, at180°
  • Two sealless coil-on-skid securing straps with edge protectors, at 180° intervals.

Polyester Strapping

High Performance Polyester Strap

Polyester is one of the most rigid of all strapping materials. It elongates significantly less than polypropylene and retains tension over a longer period. Because polyester offers the greatest strength and highest retained tension of all plastic strapping, it is frequently used on heavy duty loads that need high initial tension along with high retained tension during handling and storage.

Polypropylene Strapping

 Description 

Polypropylene is a lightweight, flexible, rust-proof strapping material that keeps products secure during transit & storage. It is economical and designed to be used for light to medium duty packages. Characteristics include high elongation and elongation recovery, but low retained tension.

Cord Strapping

 Description 

Woven polyester cord strapping is the versatile nonmetal strapping material manufactured from polyester fibres that are woven in a multi-directional pattern, weaving both horizontally and vertically. It’s high tenacity low creep polyester threads makes the strapping strong as steel and has good resistance to friction. Cord strapping can be applied easily with hand tools, using buckles or seals. In addition to the regular duty and heavy-duty woven cord strapping, we offer composite cord strapping, which is made up of polyester fibres that are woven vertically and coated by clear polypropylene. This coating gives the stiffness to the polyester cord strapping. These composite cord straps are used with galvanized wire buckles, so the stiff composite straps can thread effortlessly to secure your package.

Battery powered Plastic strapping Tool
