Mobile Shelving

Mobile Shelving

 Product Overview

In settings, such as kitchens and restaurants, mobile shelving is optimal as it allows you to quickly change what is accessible. For example, if you have different prep materials for breakfast service than you do for dinner service, you can create a mobile shelf for each meal and move them back to front as you need them throughout the day and evening. Wheels lock into place securely so that you never have to worry about mobile shelves moving once they’re in place. Mobile shelving also allows you to move your shelving when cleaning the floor surfaces.

Protects valuable materials and sensitive items from loss or pilferage. Heavy duty open wire construction keeps contents visible at all times, making it easy to check inventory. Microban antimicrobial product protection is built into the enclosures, doors, handles, and shelves to keep the product "cleaner between cleanings." Double door with ergonomic 1/4-turn handle. Each door opens 270 degrees and can be secured along the sides of the unit. Shipped knocked down to save on freight costs. Assembles in minutes. Includes four 5" diameter casters. Add optional intermediate shelves for increased storage capabilities (see Frequently Bought Together section below for options). Compatible with all MetroMax i, 4 and Q shelves.

We can offer a variety of caster options to suit different mobile conditions and environments

Stem casters are the most popular option because they are easy to configure, cost-effective, and address most mobility needs. They are most often used to create standard carts, movable storage racks for cleaning, and flexible storage layouts that will be regularly reconfigured. Most stem casters have non-marking treads and are available in swivel, swivel with brake, and rigid versions for long-distance use. Stem casters manage weight loans ranging from 450 lbs to 900 lbs per cart. A variety of materials are available for these common applications:

Walk-in cooler and freezer storage | Dry storage | Material handling carts | Hospital supply rooms and sterile processing departments | Environmental chambers | ESD conductive applications | Cleanrooms | Autoclave and cart wash chamber conditions | Mobile workstations

Plate casters have heavy-duty construction with a larger wheel chassis and wider wheels for mounting to dolly truck bases. These dolly trucks can handle more abusive and rugged mobile conditions, including cross-campus transport, back-and-forth travel on elevators and loading docks, and over-the-road delivery on trucks. These carts are super heavy-duty and can safely move up to 1000 lbs of supplies. Several styles are available to address:

General dry environments | Cart wash chambers | Rough or unpaved surfaces
