The Khamsin was designed specifically to pick up and remove ferrous metal debris that causes flat tires such as nails, screws, wire, discarded pieces of metal from fabrication activities, bolts, nuts, pins, miscellaneous metal pieces, lost tools, etc.

Use the Khamsin’s actuators to raise and lower the magnet when needed such as between job sites. Allows the magnet to remain mounted and travel on the highway with it up, and then lower when needed to start sweeping for debris. Also allows very fine tuning of sweeper height not possible with just chains alone.

To start using the magnetic sweeper just lower the Khamsin by turning the actuators on each end using a cordless drill so that the bumper wheels are just slightly above the ground.

The Bumper wheels are designed to hang slightly above ground but protect the magnet from hitting the ground when truck suspension compresses, or if there are bumps in the road, or when inclines are encountered. Allows you to hang the magnet lower for better performance than would be possible without bumper wheels.

Permanently charged C8 Ceramic Magnets provide a strong magnetic field with a maximum lifting height of 9” inches using a 2.5” inch nail.

Comes standard with a Quick clean off sleeve which allows quick removal of debris even when mounted under a vehicle. Also comes standard with 6 stabilizing chains.

Find your perfect FIT

The KHAMSIN comes in 4 different sweeping widths (magnet bar lengths) of 62”, 74”, 86” and 98” to accommodate many different vehicle sizes.  The KHAMSIN can be front, mid or rear mounted on a variety of vehicles as long as enough clearance and space is present.  We obviously recommend front mounting a magnet sweeper when at all possible so that you don’t run over the debris with your vehicle before picking it up.

As a hanging magnet, the KHAMSIN has no specific requirements of the vehicle to ensure FIT.  You should however take a look at the CAD files showing overall dimensions of width and height to ensure the KHAMSIN will work with your intended vehicle and the anticipated mounting position.  The Khamsin has a minimum retracted dimension of 12.37” inches (when raised) and maximum extended dimension of 25.37” inches (when lowered).  The depth of the magnet from front to back (front wheel tip to back wheel tip is 10” inches.

Powerful Pickup Performance

The KHAMSIN utilizes permanently charged C8 Ceramic Magnets to provide a strong magnetic field with a maximum lifting height of 9” inches using a two and a half inch nail.  Read more about how and why we measure power and performance this way.

The KHAMSIN will pick up a 2 ½” nail when the bottom of the magnet is 9” off the ground providing plenty of pickup power performance when operating on a moving vehicle.

Recommended Sweeping Heights

Sweeping height is adjustable on the KHAMSIN from a minimum of 2.5” inches with the bump wheels touching the ground, to a recommended sweeping height of 3” inches with the bump wheels 1/2” inch off the ground.  The maximum suggested sweeping height, only if needed, is 5” inches.  Magnet effectiveness will decrease as speed and sweeping height increase which is why we recommend a sweeping height of 3 inches if possible.

Easy Convenient Quick Clean Off Sleeve

To clean off the Khamsin magnetic sweeper when full of debris, just remove the Bump Wheel bracket on one end, slide the wheels off and pull off the Quick Clean Off Sleeve.  All of the debris will drop off on the side of the magnet that you pull the Sleeve off.  Clean off is easy, convenient and simple.
