In 1962, founders Don and Virginia Wynne created Folding Guard® to manufacture the best steel wire product solutions for safety, security and storage needs. After a forty-year legacy of providing quality steel folding gates, the founders’ son, Dean Wynne, established Illinois Engineered Products (IEP) to focus exclusively on designing and manufacturing heavy-duty steel folding gates. IEP manufactures the strongest security gates on the market, all made in America with US steel.

Located in Chicago, IEP has a 50,000 square-foot facility specifically designed for manufacturing folding gates. IEP is the only manufacturer of heavy-duty galvanized steel gates in the US. We stock over 1,000 gates and ship in stock items within 2-3 business days directly from our manufacturing facility. Custom projects are a breeze to create with the help of our experienced design and manufacturing team. Custom gates ship within 7-14 business days.
